Lately there’s been a lot of buzz about Loren Ridinger & LaLa’s new makeup line Motives Cosmetics. I was afraid to jump on the bandwagon to try her line, but as a blogger, I owe every product a fair chance. If you follow me on Instagram you saw the massive package I was sent and I have to say I was overwhelmed. As I unpacked the makeup, all I could think of is I couldn’t wait to plan a giveaway to share with you all! It’s going to take a little bit for me to review everything so let’s delve into it.

When I first receive a product, I dive right in with my fingers for swatch test. I was pleasantly surprised by the texture and color pay off of the eyeshadows. They are highly pigmented and much more smooth than I expected. I didn’t predict that they were going to be so easy to blend and pack such a punch.

Onyx, Choco-Light

Today I did a quick natural look and the picture above is after 11 hours of wear! I applied my makeup at 8 a.m. and took this picture around 7:30 p.m. (I primed my eyelid with Mac’s Soft Ochre Paint Pot).

The colors I used were:

Cappuccino (Crease)

Choco-Light (Crease)

Vanilla (Lid)

Whipped Cream (Inner Corner)

Onyx (Outter Crease)

As for lashes, I used #110. This shape is similar to the coveted Ardell Demi Wispies except for lighter on the eyes (I didn’t think that was possible!).

I honestly forgot I was wearing false lashes today and usually after a few hours my eyes start to get tired. However, the band isn’t very thick so you have to be careful removing them so you don’t alter the shape.
